Benefits end date after a layoff - any advice?

I am not sure what date my benefits stop after being let go as a pharmacy technician. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to be surprised by a bill. How did you confirm your end date?

Ask HR to confirm the exact date in writing. I also called the insurance company to double-check.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
