Benefits end date after a layoff after 4 years as a security officer

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. I am in Sacramento, in case local advice matters. The letter is unclear about dental and vision.

Dental and vision sometimes end on a different date from medical. Mine did.
