Benefits end date after a layoff - 8 months and counting

HR said my health plan continues for a bit and I do not understand how. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The letter is unclear about dental and vision. What should I do about appointments?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Keep a copy of any coverage confirmation in case of later disputes.
