My unemployment benefits end in 14 weeks and I have not found work as a paralegal. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.
