Benefits are ending soon and I have no offer - any advice?

I exhausted my benefits and have 5 interviews lined up. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. Did you find short-term work?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
