Benefits are ending soon and I have no offer - any advice?

My unemployment benefits end in 16 weeks and I have not found work as a teaching assistant. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
