The claim window is closing and I am worried about bills. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have savings for about a month.

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.

Call 211 to hear about emergency help with rent or utilities in your area. The list was longer than I expected.
