Benefits are ending soon and I have no offer - 19 weeks in

My unemployment benefits end in 19 weeks and I have not found work as a software tester. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
