Work-from-home support roles hiring this month - what worked for you?

I found several remote customer-support roles that do not need a degree, and I have applied to a few as an IT help-desk technician. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Most want a quiet workspace and reliable internet.

Legitimate ones never ask for money up front. If they ask you to buy equipment first, walk away.
