I found several remote customer-support roles that do not need a degree, and I have applied to a few as a bank teller. I am in Charlotte, in case local advice matters. Most want a quiet workspace and reliable internet.

Legitimate ones never ask for money up front. If they ask you to buy equipment first, walk away.
