Word-of-mouth leads in Tampa - first time posting

Two small Tampa employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. They like a brief email with a résumé. Should I visit in person?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
