Word-of-mouth leads in Spokane (Spokane)

Two small Spokane employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
