Word-of-mouth leads in Spokane, office manager here

Two small Spokane employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. Thank you in advance. They like a brief email with a résumé. What do you write in a cold email?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
