Word-of-mouth leads in San Diego - 2 months and counting

Two small San Diego employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I worked as a bank teller before this. One is a print shop, one is an accounting firm and one is a clinic. Does anyone have similar leads?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
