Word-of-mouth leads in Raleigh - 6 months and counting

Two small Raleigh employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Should I visit in person?

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
