Word-of-mouth leads in Omaha (Omaha)

Two small Omaha employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
