Word-of-mouth leads in Memphis - 3 months and counting

Two small Memphis employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I am in Memphis, in case local advice matters. They like a brief email with a résumé.

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
