Word-of-mouth leads in Knoxville - first time posting

Two small Knoxville employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
