Word-of-mouth leads in Honolulu - any advice?

I asked around at a community meeting and got three leads. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. They like a brief email with a résumé. What do you write in a cold email?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
