Word-of-mouth leads in Dallas (update)

I asked around at a community meeting and got three leads. I am in Dallas, in case local advice matters. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
