Word-of-mouth leads in Columbus - any advice?

I asked around at a community meeting and got three leads. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They like a brief email with a résumé. Should I visit in person?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
