Word-of-mouth leads in Birmingham, insurance claims processor here

Two small Birmingham employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I worked as an insurance claims processor before this. They like a brief email with a résumé. Does anyone have similar leads?

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.
