Warehouse hiring event in San Diego this week (update)

A distribution centre near San Diego is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime. What are the shifts like?

If you have forklift experience, say so. It moved me to the top of the pile.

Night shifts often pay a premium, but check the transport options first. The buses thin out late.
