Warehouse hiring event in Oklahoma City this week - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Oklahoma City is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. Any experience at all would help. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime. Do they hire temps first?
