Warehouse hiring event in Madison this week after 12 years as a copywriter

A distribution centre near Madison is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. Any experience at all would help. I went for a tour and the place was clean and organised. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.

I applied for a similar job last year and the drug screen and background check took about a week. Bring two forms of ID.
