Warehouse hiring event in Jacksonville this week

A logistics company in Jacksonville is adding people before the busy season. This is my first time dealing with any of this. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
