Warehouse hiring event in Hartford this week - any advice?

I saw a flyer for warehouse hiring on the east side of Hartford, with day and night shifts. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
