Warehouse hiring event in Baltimore this week - what worked for you?

A distribution centre near Baltimore is holding hiring sessions this week for packers, pickers and forklift operators. I worked as a medical assistant before this. The posting lists shifts, a weekly pay schedule and overtime. Do they hire temps first?
