Warehouse hiring event in Albuquerque this week - what worked for you?

I saw a flyer for warehouse hiring on the east side of Albuquerque, with day and night shifts. They said to bring ID and a work history, and some people were hired on the spot. Do they hire temps first?

Ask whether the job is direct hire or through an agency. The pay and benefits were very different for me.
