Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Raleigh - any advice?

The training centre near Raleigh opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. It has been weighing on me all week. The application needs a diploma or equivalent, a driver's licence and a short aptitude test. Did anyone go through it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
