Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Jacksonville - any advice?

The training centre near Jacksonville opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. It has been weighing on me all week. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. Did anyone go through it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
