Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Honolulu - any advice?

I heard of an apprenticeship with paid on-the-job training for people changing careers. I am in Honolulu, in case local advice matters. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. Did anyone go through it?

Bring your transcripts and any proof of work history. They asked for both in the interview.

Visit the training centre in person if you can. Seeing the classrooms helped me decide.
