Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Fresno after 15 years as an IT help-desk technician

The training centre near Fresno opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. It has been a long 4 weeks. The application needs a diploma or equivalent, a driver's licence and a short aptitude test. Did anyone go through it?

Visit the training centre in person if you can. Seeing the classrooms helped me decide.
