Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Chicago - what worked for you?

The training centre near Chicago opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. Did anyone go through it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Visit the training centre in person if you can. Seeing the classrooms helped me decide.
