Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Chicago (Chicago)

A local apprenticeship programme is taking applicants for the next intake. I worked as an event coordinator before this. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. What do you wish you had known?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
