Union apprenticeship sign-ups near Atlanta - 12 months and counting

The training centre near Atlanta opened applications for apprenticeships in electrical and welding trades. I worked as an electrician's helper before this. The application needs a diploma or equivalent, a driver's licence and a short aptitude test. Did anyone go through it?
