Trades apprenticeship applications open in St. Louis - what worked for you?

I heard of an apprenticeship with paid on-the-job training for people changing careers. I worked as a nurse's aide before this. Applications close in 13 weeks. Did anyone go through it?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
