Trades apprenticeship applications open in Chicago - what worked for you?

I heard of an apprenticeship with paid on-the-job training for people changing careers. It has been a long 18 weeks. Classes are in the evening and work is during the day. What do you wish you had known?

Bring your transcripts and any proof of work history. They asked for both in the interview.

Visit the training centre in person if you can. Seeing the classrooms helped me decide.
