Temp-to-hire openings around Salt Lake City - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Salt Lake City that might lead to something longer. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé.

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
