Temp-to-hire openings around Portland - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Portland that might lead to something longer. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
