Temp-to-hire openings around Hartford - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Hartford that might lead to something longer. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
