Temp-to-hire openings around Birmingham - any advice?

A retailer and two warehouses near Birmingham are hiring seasonal staff. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
