Small employers hiring around Tucson - 22 weeks in

Two small Tucson employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I am in Tucson, in case local advice matters. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Should I visit in person?

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
