Small employers hiring around Sacramento (Sacramento)

Two small Sacramento employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. They like a brief email with a résumé. Should I visit in person?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Visiting in person worked for a trades job. For office jobs, email was better.
