Small employers hiring around Raleigh - first time posting

Two small Raleigh employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. There are 18 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.
