Small employers hiring around Pittsburgh

Two small Pittsburgh employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. It has been a long 5 weeks. They like a brief email with a résumé. What do you write in a cold email?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
