Small employers hiring around Minneapolis - any advice?

I asked around at a community meeting and got three leads. It has been a long 7 weeks. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Does anyone have similar leads?

Small employers often hire on recommendation. Ask neighbours, former co-workers and your library.

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
