Small employers hiring around Honolulu

Two small Honolulu employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Does anyone have similar leads?

A short email with two sentences about what you can do and your résumé attached worked for me. I followed up after a week.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
