Small employers hiring around Hartford - what worked for you?

Two small Hartford employers told me they are hiring but have not posted yet. Thank you in advance. They prefer people who can start within a couple of weeks. Does anyone have similar leads?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
