Small employers hiring around Atlanta - first time posting

A friend who works at a local manufacturer says there are openings not advertised online. I worked as a call-centre agent before this. They like a brief email with a résumé. What do you write in a cold email?

Keep a list of who you contacted and when. It makes follow-ups easy.
